Purpose of this position: As an Electrician Apprentice, you will work directly under the supervision of a qualified Journeyman Electrician in the installation and repair of electrical systems and the hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment. An apprentice electrician must be good with their hands and be able to follow directions, as most jobs begin with a blueprint that details where electrical devices need to be installed. They also need to know where to look for issues and be capable problem solvers. They should be organized and analytical and have the necessary strength and stamina for a job that involves occasional heavy lifting and flexibility. On top of these things, apprentices need to be able to act on the instructions of a supervisor and work well alone or as members of a team.

• Assist electricians with installing and maintaining electrical and power systems
• Measure, cut, and bend wire and conduit using measuring instruments and hand tools
• Maintain tools, vehicles, and equipment and keep parts and supplies in order
• Perform semi-skilled and unskilled laboring duties related to the installation, maintenance, and repair of a wide variety of electrical systems and equipment
• Disassemble defective electrical equipment, replace defective or worn parts, and reassemble equipment using hand tools
• Thread conduit ends, connect couplings, and fabricate and secure conduit support brackets using hand tools
• Examine electrical units for loose connections and broken insulation and tighten connections using hand tools
• Demonstrate advanced knowledge of the installation of EMT conduit and MC-style cabling
• Drill holes and pull or push wiring through openings using hand and power tools
• Dig trenches or holes for the installation of conduit or supports
• Strip insulation from wire ends using wire-stripping pliers and attach wires to terminals for subsequent soldering
• Trace short circuits in wiring using a test meter
• Read and understand blueprints
• Demonstrate knowledge of basic wiring methods
• Demonstrate knowledge of basic hand tools and drill sets
• Understand the National Electrical Code regarding electrical construction
• Work with contractors and other tradesmen
• Work from a scissor lift, aerial lift, and ladder
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area

Job Skills and Requirements:

• 1+ years of work experience in a construction environment with a focus on electrical work

Purpose of this position: The Foreman is primarily responsible for supervising and coordinating all work at a jobsite, including the work of a crew of electricians, apprentices, and laborers. The Foreman will establish and adjust work timelines to meet the construction schedule for the project, as well as organize and coordinate all project materials and equipment. The Foreman will also ensure that all work installed is completed in accordance with the standards set forth by Pellman Electric. All work will be completed on budget, on time, and in accordance with all applicable plans, specifications, codes, and industry standards.

Purpose of this position:

• The overall purpose of the Project Manager position is to control the time, cost, and quality of construction projects while planning and coordinating all phases of the process from start to finish. The Project Manager will confer with project foremen and other managers to monitor construction progress, including worker productivity and compliance with building and safety codes. To ensure that a project is completed according to schedule, the Project Manager must resolve problems that arise due to inclement weather, emergencies, or other issues that may cause delays.

• The Senior Electrical Estimator is an integral part of the electrical construction process and ensures competitiveness, profitability, and growth. This person will be responsible for developing accurate, competitive, and profitable bid proposals for a variety of projects while ensuring that the Company’s best interests are represented, including profitability and cost control.

To ensure that projects are completed according to schedule, the Service Manager must resolve problems that arise due to inclement weather, emergencies, or other issues that may cause delays.

The Electrical Service Technician position is available to a qualified individual with a positive attitude and a minimum of five years of experience. The candidate must be capable of handling service calls and small projects for residential and commercial applications and must be able to work independently or as part of a team. The candidate must provide their own hand tools, meters, and a cordless screw gun and have reliable transportation.
